Life happens. Between work, family, and flight training weather, plenty of students need more time than their original enrollment — and that’s fine. The Ground School Extension continues your access to the full course: video lectures, presentations, quizzes, sample exams, and instructor support, with all of your progress exactly as you left it.

Choose the course you’re enrolled in, then pick 1 month ($35) for a final push to the exam or 3 months ($75) if you need room to breathe.

How It Works

Your extension activates immediately at checkout using the same email address as your original enrollment. If your access has already expired, it’s restored — nothing is lost when an enrollment lapses; your lessons, quiz scores, and progress records are all waiting for you.

Thinking Bigger?

If you’re on the 4-month plan and realizing you need substantially more time, upgrading your plan is the better value — you pay only the difference in price and keep your original enrollment. Go to My Account → Subscriptions → Upgrade Plan, or contact us and we’ll sort it out.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does my extension start?

Immediately at purchase — not stacked onto the end of your current access. Buy it when your enrollment is expiring or has expired.

Does it include the practice exams and letter of recommendation?

Yes. An extension is full course access, identical to your original enrollment, including eligibility for the letter of recommendation when you pass the practice exams.

Can I buy more than one?

Yes — extend as many times as you need until you’re ready for your written exam.

I’ve never enrolled — can I start with an extension?

No. Extensions are for students with an existing CFT enrollment. New students should enroll in the Private Pilot or Commercial Pilot ground school, which includes a 7-day free trial.
