Joint En Route Terminal System (JETS)

The Joint En Route Terminal System (JETS) is the ATC automation system used by NAV CANADA to process and display radar data, flight plan information, and weather data for en route and terminal controllers. JETS integrates radar returns, transponder data, flight plan information, and coordination messages into a unified controller workstation.

Function

JETS processes SSR and PSR data, correlates radar returns with filed flight plans, displays aircraft tracks and identification labels on controller scopes, and supports coordination between sectors and facilities. It is the backbone of modern Canadian ATC automation.
