Stopover Flight Plan

A stopover flight plan is a single flight plan that covers a flight with one or more intermediate stops. Instead of filing separate flight plans for each leg, a stopover flight plan combines all legs into one document, reducing paperwork for the pilot and FIC.

When to Use

Stopover flight plans are most useful for multi-leg cross-country flights where each stop is brief. A single flight plan can cover all legs, but the pilot must report arrival at each intermediate stop and reactivate the plan for the next leg.
