Is the PSTAR course really free?

Yes. Enter $0 and you get the complete course, the sample exams, and instructor support. Nothing is held back for paying students.

How long do I have access?

Four months from sign-up, on any phone, tablet, or computer. There is no app to install. The course runs in your browser.

Is the course up to date?

Yes. The material follows Transport Canada’s current TP 11919 study and reference guide, and meets and exceeds its outline.

Where do I write the real PSTAR?

In person, at a flight school authorized to conduct it or at a Transport Canada office. No one is authorized to administer it online. Your preparation can be fully online.

What else do I need before my first solo?

A Student Pilot Permit, which requires a passed PSTAR and a Category 4, 3, or 1 Transport Canada aviation medical. You will also need your radio certificate to use the aircraft radio. We offer a ROC-A course and official online ROC-A exams with our ISED-accredited examiners.
