Airport and Airways Surveillance Radar (AASR)

Airport and Airways Surveillance Radar (AASR) is a long-range radar system used for en route surveillance of air traffic by Area Control Centres. It provides coverage over a much larger geographic area than terminal ASR, typically several hundred nautical miles.
