Low Level Airspace
Low-level airspace is the controlled airspace in Canada below FL180. It encompasses the airways, terminal control areas, and control zones where most IFR general aviation and regional commercial operations are conducted.
Airspace Classes in Low-Level Airspace
Below FL180, Canadian airspace contains Class B (12,500 ft to FL180), Class C (terminal areas around major airports), Class D (control zones), Class E (airways and other controlled airspace), and Class G (uncontrolled). The classification determines ATC service and pilot requirements.
