Aerodrome Traffic

Aerodrome traffic refers to all traffic on the manoeuvring area of an aerodrome, and all aircraft flying in the vicinity of an aerodrome. The term encompasses aircraft in the circuit pattern as well as vehicles and personnel operating on the surface movement area.

Right-of-Way Rules

Aircraft in the traffic circuit have priority over aircraft on approach. An aircraft on final approach has right-of-way over aircraft taxiing or holding short for departure. Aircraft landing have right-of-way over those taking off. These priorities are established in the Rules of the Air under CARs Part VI.
